The guide below explains the controls, physics-based combat, survival tips, and the Ireland, Egypt, and Sweden maps.

What it is

Be the last sheep standing.

Crazy Cattle 3D is a physics battle royale where you are a numbered sheep and everyone else wants you on your side. There are no guns, loot, jumps, or upgrades. You win by knocking other sheep over, or into a fence, before the same thing happens to you.

Anna Mayberry shipped it on itch.io on 12 April 2025 for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Opponents are AI. A match can run about half an hour. This page introduces Crazy Cattle 3D on crazy-cattle-3d.net, and can sit beside more games later.

The original ladder is Ireland, Egypt, and Sweden. There is no jump key, no loadout, and no other people in your match. Browser portals that list Iceland, New Zealand, or a special-attack button are not describing that release.

How a round works

Start slow.
Spend the charge late.

  1. Start a new game. You land on Ireland with 54 other sheep.
  2. Click the window, then move with WASD and steer with the mouse.
  3. Tap Space only when you already have height. A downhill charge beats a flat one.
  4. Let the opening pile sort itself. Finish sheep that are already off-balance.
  5. Stay off the fence unless you are pushing someone else into it. Win Ireland to unlock Egypt, then Sweden.

Space is also restart after you explode. There is no second chance mid-round and no score to farm. The reward for a win is the next map.

Arenas

Ireland, then Egypt, then Sweden.

Why you explode

Three rules, then the maps change the numbers.

Relative speed and angle decide the ram, not who tapped Space first. Learn downhill force, treat the fence as a kill, and on ice stop steering earlier than feels right. Each map only changes how honest those rules are.

Why downhill wins

A ram is two moving bodies meeting, not a damage button. The sheep with more speed and a cleaner angle wins. Hills store that speed for you: own the ridge, tap Space on the way down, and you hit someone still walking on the flat. Charging uphill into a sheep that already has height is how most Ireland openers end. If two charges meet with equal speed they often tangle instead of exploding — wait, then finish the one already off its feet. There is no hit marker. You only know it worked when the sheep explodes and its number flashes.

The fence is a kill

The wooden rail and the arena edge are not walls you bounce off. Touching them ends the run the same way a knockdown does. There is no cover. The only good reason to go near the wood is to put someone else into it after they are already stumbling. If you are the one on the rail, you are out, even if nobody rammed you. Egypt is the same rule with worse visibility: fences sit in dune folds that look like open sand until you are already committed.

Ice keeps moving after you let go

Sweden is ice, not a volcano map. Friction is so low that the body keeps sliding after you finish steering or charging. Adding more turn to correct a spin usually makes a longer spin, which is also when the camera is most likely to make people sick. Steer before the hit, then wait. With about 250 sheep, the opening crowd will thin itself. Joining the first knot is how you get thrown into the boundary.

Questions

Before you start a 30-minute Ireland.

Is Crazy Cattle 3D multiplayer?

Not in the original release. The crowd is AI sheep. It feels like a packed lobby because the physics is messy, not because other people are in your match.

Why does a downhill charge beat a flat one?

Relative speed and angle decide the ram, not who tapped Space first. Height on a hill turns into speed on the way down. A sheep charging uphill into that line is usually the one that explodes.

Is there a jump key or special attack?

No. The original desktop build is WASD, mouse, Space to charge or restart, and Tab to pause. There is no jump. Elevation is the terrain. Sites that list E to jump or Q for a special move are describing a different control scheme.

How long is a match?

A full Ireland run is often around half an hour. Egypt and Sweden take longer once the flock is denser and the surface is less honest.

Can I play on a phone?

The desktop builds are for Windows, macOS, and Linux, aimed at keyboard and mouse. This site’s browser stage is also built around that, not a touch layout.

Which maps are in the original game?

Ireland (54 sheep), Egypt (136), and Sweden (about 250). Win one to unlock the next. Sweden is ice, not lava. Some browser hosts add Iceland, New Zealand, Warzone, or Poland; those are not the original three-map ladder.

Where can I download the desktop game?

Windows, macOS, and Linux downloads are in the Download section above. Extract the zip and run the game.

Why does the camera make some people sick?

The view sticks close when your sheep tumbles. The developer warns about motion sickness. Sweden is usually the worst because ice spins last longer. Shorter sessions on Ireland are the easy way in.

Is the CATTLE crypto token part of the game?

No. Tokens using the Crazy Cattle 3D name are not from the developer. Treat them as unrelated.
